I predict a riot … over answers
February 23, 2011 in Quizzes
Here are the answers to the questions posed in yesterday’s top secret, under the radar, edition of this site.
My informant has contacted me again to say that he/she thinks that the picture I chose for the article did a good job of not accurately reflecting their appearance. Keep going like this, and we’ll end up recreating Donald Rumsfeld’s famous “known unknowns” speech.
Let’s just hope wikileaks don’t get hold of our emails…
Speaking of which, the same person hasn’t actually given me an official list of answers. In fact, they seem to have gone ‘dark’. So I’ve had to try and figure them out myself.
Answers:
- 2011 is the Chinese year of the what? A> Rabbit
- Who was the transvestite character in M*A*S*H? A> Max Klinger §
- What year did Elvis die? A> 1977
- What is Shakespeare’s shortest play? A> The Comedy of Errors §
- Continue the sequence: Wolves, Inter, Leeds, Spurs, Liverpool, Spurs… A> Celtic *
- What novel focuses around the assassination of Churchill? A> The Eagle has landed §
- What film has a number in the title and has the initials OH & OD? A>
I don’t know **Apparently, it’s some obscure film called One Hundred and One Dalmatians - Who is the Haitian president? A> René Préval §
- What film has the tag line “Greed is good”? A> Wall Street
§ means I had to resort to google. Well done to our informant’s team for getting them right, I say!
* This is correct if you ignore the omission of Coventry from between Wolves and Inter. Considering that, the quizmaster might also have been looking for West Ham. Based on yesterday’s story, I wouldn’t be surprised.
** Can’t figure this out at all. If you know it, please comment below and put me out of my misery.
