A chat about quizzes
November 12, 2011 in Podcast, Quiz Show
I was quizzing on Thursday night but I haven’t gotten around to writing up a report yet. In the meantime, here’s a little something I happened to hear on Wednesday afternoon.
RTÉ Radio One’s Mooney Show featured a guest called Olan McGowan who spoke about his experience as a question writer on the (short-lived) Irish version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. He also discussed some funny incidents from the world of tv/radio quizzing.

Thanks for the link John, very interesting….so when we hear that famous line on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” that goes along the lines of “computer take away two wrong answers leaving us with the right answer and the one remaining RANDOM wrong answer”…..from here on, thanks to this interview, we now know that the remaining wrong answer is no longer all that RANDOM!! Confirmed by suspicions. The Aussie quiz prank is priceless, poor man.

I know what you mean Dan. I too have always harboured suspicions that the random wrong answer was not in any way random!
